Minnesota Twins vs. White Sox

The other day, Thursday, September 25th, Danny Smith, D Ephraim, and I went to the Twins game. We had vouchers for cheap seats so we were in the upper deck, which was dumb but sick at the same time. Of course, we're rebels so we didn't sit in the right sections. It ended up with us in the family section. Apparently, there's no beer allowed in there, so people kept getting kicked out and coming back and it was annoying. It was like Siddhartha and the eightfold path to try and get out of the cycle. People kept getting kicked out, then tried to be sneaky and come back into the section. It turns out that it was a twofold path to achieve the "atman" of sitting in the family section. Step one was that you had to sneak back into the section when they Twins Personnel weren't looking. The second step being that you must have hid your beer in the cupholder on the back of your chair so it LOOKS like it's not yours. The people who were sneaking in were really funny so it was hard to watch the game, but we did manage to get some "boooooo" and "A.J. SU-CKSS" chants going. At the end of the game driving home, everybody was going crazy in the streets. Crazy people would drive through red lights holding down their horns and screaming in rejoice of the twins amazing comeback. It was probably the best game I could've gone to, and I'm glad I didn't waste the ticket on a game like todays, where we blew it.

Tennessee.....

So this past summer, i was told that we would take the usual trip to Tennessee to drop off my sister at college. Yeah, this was the 4th time i had encountered this trip, so i wasn't too excited. I actually wasn't really looking as forward to this trip as i had previously. I knew i would have to sit in a car for 15 hours. That might seem like a long time, but when your iPod is pumped with Kelly Clarkson, Celine Dion, and music from High School Musical.

We started driving around 8 a.m. on one sunday morning. The first like 5 hours of the trip was boring, so i'll skip to the best part, when Bob (my dad) let me drive. I took off from the gas station and got onto the entrance ramp. I floored it because I'm cool like that. Also because i was excited to get to drive interstates. (Ex. Speed Limit = 70 mph, and in some zones, 75 mph.) So there i was, cruisin' the interstates at around 65 or 70, just to get comfortable. Once i was warmed up, i started practicing passing 18-wheelers. While i was passing them, i sped up to about 80 or 85 until i got in front of them.
After about 4 or 5 hours of this cycle i started feeling like a dare devil, so i decided to see how fast i could get going before my dad noticed. I started getting upper 80's while passing trucks, then eventually moved to lower to mid 90's. In one last attempt to break my record, i absolutely floored it as soon as i got in the passing lane. The top recorded speed i had hit was just under 105. It was sick. I stayed over 100 for about 8 to 10 seconds. Then i slowed down and set cruise control at about 85.
When we were about 2 hours from Nashville, we ran into road construction, and i was driving. I thought it would be about 2 or 3 miles long, but at the end, the tripodometer had moved up 45 miles. I was squeezed into the right lane of a 2-lane 45 mph construction zone. There were huge trucks blowing past me on the left and i had probably no more than a 4-inch clearance from concrete boulders on the right. I was scared to be honest.
Basically, the rest of the trip sucked. I had to help move boxes into my sisters apartment for half the day, and chilled at the hotel for the other half. I was also very disappointed that there were 0 hot girls at the hotel i was staying at. I was so mad about that, i wanted to leave.
Driving home, we had no problems, except we stopped in Illinois to visit Grandma Elmore (my grandma). We pretty much chilled there with G-Elmore and ate a bunch of donuts (that was for you, Pat). On the way home from Illinois, it rained really hard for most of the way, but other than that, nothing too exciting. We got home at around 2 a.m. on Thursday and i went to bed. THE END
